Fairly short and sharp.
Mix bursts of cardio with compound strength movements.
Use plenty of energy and keep the intensity high.

Much more challenging than doing "steady state" low to medium intensity training on one piece of equipment like the treadmill. Let's face it the treadmill is a dreadful name for this piece of equipment......makes it sound so dull!
As a result of the high intensity that can be involved in circuit training you will be continuing to burn calories at a higher rate than at rest for a period of time after the session ends.
